"Shopify is the favorite go-to e-commerce platform. Its easy to get started with a small store with its simple and clean UI. But it also has enough features to handle a large scale store. Out of the box Shopify can handle a lot of things like shipping and tax calculations, coupon codes and more. It also allows for plugins and customizations for more advanced stores looking to do customized stuff. Hands down the easiest e-commerce platform to get started with."
Design
"Great free alternative to Photoshop. It is has most of the functionality in the familiar UI and you can use it directly in your web browser quickly and easily without having to deal with installs, updates and of course monthly fees. Photopea is ad supported so I even turn off adblock on the site to help support the developer."
Development
"Framer has replaced our go to web development and CMS platform as it has amazing integration with Figma that lets you deploy designs quickly and easily. Much better than wrangling wordpress builder plugins and custom coding page layouts in html and css. Webflow is too complicated for users we hand off too and weebly wix and squarespace is too limited. Only downside is the cost per website and traffic on Framer is higher than other options. However saving hours on web dev is definitely worth a few extra dollars per month."
Design
"Switched over to Figma from Sketch a few years ago. The collaboration features and web based editor made it so much more useful working with internal teams as well as external clients."
Development
"After over a decade of building websites Siteground has been a breath of fresh air for hosting WordPress websites in that they actually respond to support issues. Their prices have gone up but its worth it to avoid downtime and headaches of a bad hosting provider."
Development
"Simple, lightweight and easy to use. I tried switching to Visual Studio Code a few times and kept coming back to Sublime Text for its speed and simplicity."
"Easily the best source for free fonts to use for any digital project."
"AI is having a huge impact on work and ChatGPT has been the best all around source for me. If you think of it as an assistant that can help you write emails and copy, check your code, organize data, translate or explain things to you, you'll find that it provides results than googling and searching the web. It is really the Star Trek "computer" that we've been waiting for all this time."
Productivity
"I literally cannot function without Notion. It's helped me organized daily workflow, planning, saving account details, meeting notes etc. I was hesitant to use it on earlier versions when it was recommended but now its one of my daily tools."
